CM-17d Portable Spectrophotometer

Konica Micota

Konica Micota's new CM-17d portable spectrophotometer is here to mark a before and after in accurate color measurement. Designed to be simple to set up and use, this upright handheld device is specially designed for those who require reliable results on small samples and curved surfaces.

With an ergonomic design that makes it easy to use even with one hand, the CM-17d stands out for its electronic viewfinder, which ensures perfect positioning in each measurement. In addition, its tilted screen improves visibility and wireless connectivity offers a much more comfortable and efficient work experience, eliminating cable clutter and allowing direct delivery of results.

Unprecedented accuracy in portable measurement

One of the most important features of the CM-17d is its accuracy, similar to that found only in laboratory or benchtop equipment. The device's inter-instrumental concordance (IIA), averaging ΔE 0.12 for 12 BCRA colored tiles, enables extremely accurate color communication throughout the supply chain, from supplier to final assembly.

The spectrophotometer incorporates an integrating dial di:8° and de:8°, compatible with previous models such as the CM-700d series, but improved to more accurately measure darker colors, such as black. It also allows easy switching between SCE (Specular Component Excluded) and SCI (Specular Component Included) modes to suit the characteristics of the sample surfaces.

New features that optimize your performance

The CM-17d introduces an integrated base-type charging stand with a zero calibration box, providing convenience and safety when storing and charging the device. The easily misplaced white calibration cap can be stored on the front of the base, giving users added peace of mind.

Another innovative feature is WAA (Wavelength Analysis and Adjustment) technology, which ensures the stability of measurement data over time. This feature analyzes and adjusts any wavelength shifts during each calibration, ensuring continuous accuracy of the device.

Versatility for a wide range of industries

The CM-17d is compatible with SpectraMagic NX2 software, used for color quality control, as well as other color matching and formulation programs. In addition, thanks to its optional WLAN/Bluetooth module, users can send measurement results wirelessly, optimizing workflow.

This new spectrophotometer offers an advanced solution for industries that require accurate and repeatable color measurements, such as automotive, plastics, paints and coatings, textiles, and many others. Its ease of use, coupled with its cutting-edge technology, make it an indispensable tool for color quality control in various applications.

About the CM-17d
The CM-17d features a 2.7-inch color LCD display, a long-lasting lithium-ion battery, and a measurement time of just 0.7 seconds, making it one of the fastest and most efficient spectrophotometers on the market.
