Mexico. The agreement signed by the Mexican Association of Surface Finishes Industrialists (AMAS) and the Mexican Association of Machinery Distributors (AMDM) aims to strengthen the national industry through the exchange of knowledge, the promotion of technology and innovation, and the consolidation of commercial ties.
The agreement, signed at the Grand Fiesta Americana in Nuevo León, Mexico, seeks to enhance the competitiveness of key sectors such as metalworking, industrial finishes and coatings. During the ceremony, leaders of both associations highlighted the importance of this alliance to promote the development of the sector and face the challenges of the global market.
Strategic Alliance for Competitiveness
Manuel García Garza, president of the board of directors of AMAS, stressed that the agreement will generate synergies between companies and specialists in the sector, promoting the exchange of good practices and expanding business opportunities.
For his part, Roberto González Ávila, president of AMDM, highlighted the importance of strengthening the supply chain and promoting technological innovation. He also highlighted the importance of networking in industries such as automotive, aerospace, appliances and construction.
Ruth Joanna Rodríguez Virueña, CEO of AMAS, pointed out that the paints and coatings market projects a growth of 20% in the next five years, from 185 million dollars in 2025 to 223 million in 2030. He also emphasized the sustainability and innovation challenges facing the industry.
Key events in the sector
As part of their collaboration, AMAS and AMDM are preparing for prominent events in the industry. AMAS will soon announce the 2025 edition of Surface Finishing Mexico, while AMDM will celebrate its 82nd anniversary with the twenty-first edition of Tecma. Both meetings will reaffirm the commitment of the associations to the strengthening of the industrial sector in Mexico.
