ADDITOL XW 6596 is a highly efficient and cost-effective dispersant additive, designed for all types of pigments, including hard-to-process organic ones.
For non-scientists, when a quality finishing product (paint, coating, or ink) is needed, it is critical to use a superior pigment dispersion process (including wetting, dispersing, and stabilizing steps). Without it, users run the risk of irregularities and uneven color, as well as other undesirable side effects.
Wetting: Pigments naturally bind (clump together) and "wetting" means replacing the spaces between pigment particles with the dispersing agent, preparing them for the next step.
Dispersion: the process of breaking down pigment particles into tiny pieces, also called primary particles; This is what ensures uniform color development and coverage power.
Stabilization: Once a fine distribution of particles is obtained during the dispersion stage, the pigment still tends to adhere. Flocculation stabilization and control prevent this and provide the uniform color customers are looking for. ADDITOL XW 6596 offers virtually zero ion migration, allowing formulation even in sensitive binder systems.
ADDITOL XW 6596 ensures stable pigment concentrations for a wide range of applications, both in water-based coatings and flexographic inks, resulting in less pigment use in the process and significant cost savings for our customers.
The advantages of the ADDITOL XW 6596 include:
Prevent pigment flocculation
Excellent pigment stability.
Exceptional colour intensity with above-standard organic pigments
