Brazil. With Daniel Geiger Campos as president, the Board of Directors will seek to advance sectoral priorities such as sustainability, quality, innovation and training.
At the Assembly held on April 23, Abrafati's Board of Directors and Fiscal Council were elected, as well as the presidents of the Sustainability Committee and the newly created Quality Committee of the Board of Directors. The new councillors began their terms immediately after the election, effective until 2026.
In this management, the Board of Directors is chaired by Daniel Geiger Campos, president of AkzoNobel for Latin America. Marizeth Carvalho (General Manager for South America and Global Head of Strategic Marketing for Industrial Paints at PPG) and Nilton Rezende (General Manager of Sherwin-Williams Brazil) hold the positions of 1st and 2nd Vice Presidents, respectively.
The group of advisors is also composed of Agnaldo Bergamo (Eucatex), Alan Souza (Iquine), Andreas Gaudenz von Salis (Montana), Douver Gomes Martinho (Universo), Marcelo Cenacchi (Renner Sayerlack), Marcos Allemann (BASF), Maria Cristina Potomati (Lukscolor), Mateus Aquino (Axalta), Milton Killing (Killing) and Rafael Torezan (WEG).
PPG's Marizeth Carvalho will serve as Chair of the Board of Directors' Sustainability Committee, while Universo's Douver Martinho will serve as Chair of the Board of Directors' Quality Committee.
For the Fiscal Council, Luciano Santos (Hydronorth), Luiz Fernando Fruet (Skylack) and Marcus Medeiros (Jotun) were elected as members, with Noely Dal Prá (Dacar), Camila Pavan (Anjo) and Delcio de Azevedo (Futura Tintas) as alternates.
At his inauguration, Daniel Campos stressed that the priority will be to continue making progress on key issues for the sector. "I believe very much in the potential of our market, which is already one of the five largest in the world, and in the ability of the institution and its associates to mobilize," he said.
