The Surface Finishing Mexico looks very profitable

Rueda de prensa SFM

Latin America. On July 25, representatives of the industrial surface finishes and coatings sector in Mexico will meet again.

Of the 48,000 square meters of the Cintermex exhibition center in Monterrey (Nuevo León, Mexico), 5,000 will be used for the fifth edition of Surface Finishing Mexico (SFM 2022), which promises to have more exhibitors than the last face-to-face version in 2019.

"The reactivation is going very well. In all that are industrial exhibitions, the growth of visitors has been in some cases higher than the levels we had in 2019. So we are sure that this exhibition will be a success," said Cintermex CEO Gonzalo Escamez.

For three days, the fair will have a commercial area of more than 90 exhibitors with innovative offers of the latest products and technologies necessary to carry out the finishing and coating processes demanded by the country's industries.

According to the president of the Board of Directors of the Mexican Association of Surface Finishing Industrialists (AMAS), David Omar González Sierra, this is the only event that brings together the supply chain of the surface finishing industry, with a great economic impact in several sectors: from automotive and aerospace to appliances, electronics, architecture, jewelry and medical devices.

"Just for the event we estimate more than 10 million pesos of economic spillover for the State of Nuevo León," said the general director of AMAS, Ruth Joanna Rodríguez Virueña.

There are already more than 40 confirmed buyers. The exhibition will serve as a meeting for general managers of companies and corporations, purchasing managers and supplier developers, process and production managers, process, project and operations engineers, as well as quality laboratory managers, quality auditors and certifications, as well as independent professionals.

All are looking for specialized suppliers from a high level of companies and workshops dedicated to the application of organic and inorganic coatings (both functional and decorative), manufacturers of chemicals and paints, laboratories, manufacturers and distributors of pretreatment equipment, conveyors, ovens, paint lines, water treatment, among other inputs demanded by the sector.
