United States. The chemicals company Dow Chemical revealed that over the next two years it plans to eliminate 2,400 jobs in all its global headquarters, 5% of its workforce and close more than 20 production centers.
Thus, in the next two years the multinational will close, in addition to the production facilities in Ribaforada, a plant in Belgium and another in the Netherlands, as well as several centers in the USA, a factory in the United Kingdom and another in Japan.
Dow will also reduce its investments and capital expenditures, additional measures with which it expects to lower its operating costs by $500 million annually.
