Brazil. RPM International Inc., a company specializing in specialty coatings and sealants, announced that it has acquired Viapol Ltda., a manufacturer and marketer of building materials and construction products based in Cacapava, a town near Sao Paulo.
Viapol, founded in 1990, will be part of The Euclid Chemical Group, an RPM unit serving construction and rehabilitation markets worldwide. In addition, it records annual sales of approximately US$85 million.
The South American firm produces paints, varnishes and inks, as well as laminated asphalt roofing materials, waterproofing products, concrete additives, epoxy industrial systems for floors and structural recovery products.
