The Americas. Commodity prices continue to change upwards. This is confirmed by the announcement of two well-known companies such as Dupont and Cytec, which report on the increase in prices of some of their coating lines.
Dupont Titanium Technologies announced a price increase of $0.20 per pound for its line of titanium dioxide (Ti Pure®) sold in the United States and Canada for coatings, plastics, sheets and specialty applications.
Similarly, Cytec confirmed a price increase in its entire line of powdered resins (Crylcoat®, Additol®, Modaflow® and Uvecoat®) offered in North America and Latin America.
The increase will be between US$0.10 and US$0.12 per pound and will be effective for shipments made after April 1 or as contracts allow. Cytec also confirmed that by the same date there will be increases for the Americas in resins and special additives of between 6% and 12%, depending on the product.
