United States. Luvata Electrofin announced that starting May 1 of this year, corrosion protection services will be available from a second plant in Florida, to meet the growing demand for coastal corrosive environments.
The new headquarters in Pompano Beach will offer a water-based and synthetic spray coating developed specifically for the protection of heat transfer serpetines and their components.
"Exposure to saltpeter in coastal environments is always to the detriment of finned coils and now we have begun to understand about the cost of corrosion in lifespan and operating costs," said Ralph Rice, general manager of Luvata ElectroFin.
The new Pompano Beach center is located just 1.5 miles from Interstate 95 and one mile from the Florida Turnpike, which offers easy access to South Florida. The facility features an area of 19,050 square feet for plant operations, along with another 2,400 square feet of office space and 16,000 square feet for a sheltered storage yard.
