International . The company unveiled its new family of paints, colormix™ 2012; four palettes that explore the origins of the earth and are reflected in 40 primary tones. The first of these is the Reds range that includes saturated colors. It is not a unique red, but a degradation of fuchsias, reds, oranges and violets.
The Blues series is framed in two functional shades: denim and water, going through the nuances of faded jeans to the warm tones of rivers, seas and lakes. The third is the Greens scale, an eclectic range focused on lush colors that reflect the depth of the sea and forest; leaves, natural and rustic textures and organic elements such as moss and algae.
Finally, the company created neutral color gradation, a natural palette that provides visual balance thanks to the subtlety of its nuances and is inspired by wheat fields, stones, worn wood and clay.
For Jackie Jordan, Director of Color Marketing at Sherwin-Williams, "To create the shades of the new 2012 colormix range, the company's experts were inspired by cutting-edge fashion, color washing and ombré dyeing techniques. In addition, they thought of illustrating sustainable landscapes; a predominant influence on all aspects of today's décor and design."
