The 2010 version of Nace Corrosion has been the largest of the decade, with 5,800 participants from 40 countries, who established contacts and exchanged knowledge with industry experts in the world.The content of the conference was geared towards many of the key industries such as: oil and gas pipelines, water and wastewater systems, bridges and roads, shipbuilding, nuclear power generation, transmission and distribution of electrical services, and the Department of Defense.
Delmar Doyle, interim executive director of Nace International, mentioned that the dynamic exchange of ideas and the generation of new information will have a far-reaching impact on different industries, while ensuring that the event exceeded their expectations.
The conference provided topics focused on the aspects of corrosion in infrastructures, its impact, as well as innovative solutions, theories and practices related to this item (corrosion), which has gained attention on the world stage; proof of this was the varied information that was offered in the forums, symposia, technical sessions and meetings, in addition to the exhibitions of the 340 companies.
