This problem in the tire cable of Sienna cars produced between 1998 and 2010, occurs if these were used in cold climates on routes with high saltpeter indices.
According to a statement issued by Toyota, the company indicated that there have been no accidents as a result of this defect. He also explained that the cable of the tire carrier can give way and the spare tire could separate from the vehicle generating danger on the route for the vehicles that follow it.
The automotive company is currently working on the search for a solution to this problem, which joins the notice previously made by the company in which it announces safety tests to all minivan-type vehicles.
