Netherlands. Nouryon announced a new organizational model as part of its strategy to accelerate growth and drive performance improvement, which will take effect from January 1, 2020, focusing around three businesses, with a centralized structure.
The three businesses and their leaders are: Technology Solutions by Johan Landfors, who was previously Managing Director of Polymer Chemistry; Industrial Chemicals by its current president, Knut Schwalenberg; and Performance Formulations, whose President is yet to be appointed. Lanny Duvall will continue to lead Operations as Head of Integrated Supply Chain.
"This streamlined model will allow our companies and support organizations to focus on what they do best," says Charlie Shaver, CEO of Nouryon. "Each company will have a clear mission, focused on management."
The objective of each business unit should be highlighted: Performance Formulations include lines of business based on personalized performance that require a high level of intimacy with the client, such as those of personal care and agriculture. Technology Solutions focuses on products such as catalysts and additives for the polymer and cellulose industries. In turn, Industrial Chemicals is based on the company's salt-chlorine value chain.
