International. Perstorp announced that it has increased the capacity of di-pentaerythritol, that is, Di-Penta with 40% at its Perstorp headquarters. This is the result of improved efficiency and bottleneck at all Di-Penta producing sites.
Di-Penta is used in a large number of applications, such as UV-cured coatings, synthetic lubricants, alkyd coatings with high solids content, fire-resistant Charmor coatings, and lead-free PVC stabilizers.
Di-Penta provides properties such as thermostability, UV stability, weather resistance, chemicals and scratching. It is also a raw material in many environmentally friendly applications.
Perstorp explained that it is working on all fronts to meet the growing customer demand for Di-Penta and the performance it delivers. For years, the entire industry has suffered shortages in the Di-Penta market. To ensure the availability of the product, the company has been working to maximize the production capacity of this input, which has now resulted in an increase in capacity and a fully available product.
