Colombia. The Colombian Association of Protection and Corrosion, Ascor, will carry out in the city of Medellín the Training and Qualification of Applicators in Industrial Coatings.
This course is aimed at personnel in charge of activities for surface treatment and application of coatings with methods of application by sprinkler and manual.
The topics of the course include the following aspects:
- Corrosion basics.
- Coating Technology.
- Surface preparation standards and procedures (abrasive jet, mechanical and manual techniques)
- Coating application techniques (manual methods, spraying with airless and low pressure equipment)
- Interpretation of technical data sheets and coating mixing process.
- Quality control in coating application processes (EPH calibration, EPS, adhesion, film continuity, environmental conditions).
- Management of safety data sheets.
- Industrial Safety in coating application.
- Failures in coating application processes and correction procedures.
- Field practices in abrasive jet cleaning processes.
- Field practices in coating application processes.
Participant profile: Operators of abrasive jet surface treatment equipment and coating applicators with spray and manual methods.
For participation in the course, it is suggested to have a minimum experience of 12 months in surface treatment activities with abrasive jet methods and / or application of coatings.
