International. Perstorp announces a new portfolio of renewable alternatives to the essential polyols Pentaerythritol (Penta), Trimethylolpropane (TMP) and Neopentyl glycol (Neo). The portfolio was launched globally.
This launch, the company explains, comes as a response to the growing global need for more sustainable synthetic coatings, resins and lubricants. This means that Perstorp now offers the three essential polyols Penta, TMP and Neo, in both traditional and renewable forms.
The world's first renewable Penta, known as Voxtar, was launched in 2010. It can reduce the carbon footprint by up to 80% compared to fossil alternatives. The addition of two new innovative products; Evyron (partially renewable TMP) and Neeture (Neo partially renewable) will give Perstorp customers a clear market advantage by creating low-carbon ecological footprint products.
Anna Berggren, Perstorp's global resin market segment manager commented: "It's time to add two new renewable polyols. The market demand for biological material is increasing rapidly due to a strong focus on sustainable chemistry and renewable raw materials. We are committed to our environmental responsibility and to helping our customers in their sustainable development. We are dedicated to our pro-environmental products, giving a prioritized supply to pro-environmental partners at all times."
