International. Dulux Paints, PPG brand, announced the colors that will be a trend for 2018. The brand named two colors of the year for 2018: Black Elegance (DLX1004-7), a black with an infusion of deep nuances and the Golden Goose (015LM).
"The combination of Black Elegance and Golden Goose is unapologetic, it's ultra-sophisticated and decadent," said Martin Tustin-Fuchs, Brand Manager of PPG's Dulux Paints. "These deep, rich colors will draw attention in any space."
This design direction reflects consumers' growing yearning for protection, strength and stability to feel safe in times of uncertainty. Simultaneously, the 2018 colors evoke feelings of grandeur, which attract consumers' unwillingness to feel small or underserved in light of today's social landscapes. The two colors of the year integrate deep shades of jewel, as well as elegant browns and grays to create melancholic and decadently glamorous moods.
During 2018, Dulux Paints will make several announcements about innovations in its color delivery system and palette to make color selection even easier for those who work on their own, for interior designers and for professional painters.
