International. Hempel announced the launch of two new premium antifouling coatings, Globic 9500M and Globic 9500S. The coatings offer customers a potential 2.5 percent reduction in speed loss.
This equates to significant fuel savings and lower CO2 emissions that improve a vessel's operational efficiency and minimize the operator's environmental footprint.
This next-generation coating series is based on Hempel's proven Globic technology to deliver superior antifouling performance for new buildings and dry docks, offering excellent return on investment and flexibility from equipment across the entire coupling range.
Hempel's patented Nano acrylate technology is the force behind the Globic range and provides a fine polishing control mechanism to bring integral biocides to the surface at a stable speed ensuring a clean hull. By combining the most powerful binder and biocide package for superior performance at different operating speeds, globic 9500M and Globic 9500S outperform other self-polishing coatings (SPCs), especially when it comes to slow vaporization.
