International. As part of the ongoing commitment of DowDuPont's Materials Science Division, Dow will now sell Dow Corning's polyurethane additive (PUA) technologies under the brand name Vorasurftm Polyurethane Additives.
Vorasurftm Polyurethane Additives will serve the comfort and energy efficiency markets to help meet the growing demand for high-performance materials in bed, footwear and spray foam products.
"We are selling more than 100 polyurethane additive products previously marketed under the Dow Corning brand to the polyurethane industry, expanding our already extensive range of proven silicone surfactant tools for high-performance polyurethane foam," said Richard James, global segment leader for polyurethane additives. "In addition to expanding our portfolio, we continue to innovate with advanced products such as automotive low-volatility organic compound surfactants and new hydrofluoroolefin-compatible products."
The transition to the Vorasurftm brand will begin in November 2017 and end by the end of 2018. We will continue to offer all Dow Corning polyurethane additive products, but to help ensure a smooth transition, updated product names will include the Dow Corning "DC" and retain the grade numbers of the original products (i.e. DC 193, DC 2525, DC 5950, etc.).
