Argentina.
During the last fair and congress Report 2016, held in Buenos Aires, Eastman presented its portfolio of coalescing and non-VOC initiatives.
The company presented for the architectural, automotive and industrial segments the Texanol™ ester alcohol and the Optifilm™ enhancer 300, sustainable options that provide high performance at a lower formulation cost, with a flattering consistency and high reliability of supply.
Texanol™ ester alcohol is the premier line of coalescing for latex paints. It performs well with any type of latex paint in a variety of climates and on substrates with different levels of porosity by improving paint properties such as: low-temperature coalescence, touch finish, friction resistance, washable, color development, thermal flexibility and cracking resistance. Which makes it reliable for architectural applications and industry in general.
For its part, in architectural coatings the Eastman Optifilm™ enhancer 300 is an efficient coalescing, low odor and low toxicity for latex paints. Its wide compatibility, easy incorporation and excellent hydrolytic stability allows its use in a wide variety of types of latex, suitable for many architectural applications.
"Argentina is the third country in the region in terms of importance, much more for the coalescents. As the country is developing its own VOC methodology for coating regulation, we want to update the public on these measures around Latin America, and how Eastman supports its customers by raising awareness of the method and manner of complying with such regulation."
