American Chemet announced the appointment of Andes Chemical of Miami, Florida, as its agent and distributor for the Caribbean, Central America and northern South America, including Ecuador, Colombia, Peru and Venezuela.
The company American Chemet said in a statement that it has known Andes for many decades through an informal customer relationship. Chemet has decided to formalize its relationship with Andes by making the appointment, which will allow it to better focus its sales and marketing efforts in the region.
"Andes Chemical has a strong technical and commercial team that will be a great advantage for customers using American Chemet products," the statement said.
American Chemet is a copper oxide manufacturer, producing a wide variety of products for numerous applications. Chemet and its subsidiaries also produce copper oxide, copper powder and tin powder.
