PPG officials hosted a groundbreaking ceremony at PPG's coatings research center in Marly, France, to open a new laboratory and inaugurate a pilot operation of a first electrolytic coating (e-coat).
This is PPG's second significant investment for an Aerocron e-coat primer installation, increasing global application capacity for customer education.
Like the first e-coat PPG aerospace primer system, which is located near Pittsburgh, the Marly facility will be used for customer application and qualifications testing.
Daniel Bencun, Director of Aerospace Coatings for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, commented, "This is a unique capability and an important asset designed to benefit PPG customers in this region." The executive thanked the customers who came for their trust and confidence in PPG's capabilities.
