The council of Medellín delivered a few days ago the Order of Merit Don Juan del Corral, gold degree, to Pintuco for his 70 years of work, the company said in an official statement.
Councilman Ramón Emilio Acevedo, promoter of the act of recognition, highlighted the leadership of the company in these seven decades. Jean Jacques Thiriez, General Manager of Pintuco said that "this valuable recognition reflects the commitment that the company has had throughout its history with the sustainable development of communities, the generation of sources of employment and the configuration of processes and products that promote environmental conservation, principles that will continue to be one of the cardinal points of our roadmap".
Thiriez also said that the company will continue to act in partnership with public and private entities to develop initiatives in which the intervention of housing, educational institutions and community environments, continue to carry a message of life and solidarity through color: "In these mountains, we have seen the importance of joining public and private efforts to change negative stories for positive results. There is certainly much work to be done, in equity, safety, health and education. But we have shown that that history can be changed if everyone's will manages to align."
