The Shepherd Color Company recently presented (during the American Coatings Show) a wide range of high-performance inorganic color pigments used in the coatings industry .
These pigments are a class of extraordinary traditional metal oxide materials that offer a stable and durable color for many applications. In addition, they have unbeatable resistance to weathering, heat and chemical resistance, does not allow deformation and is easy to disperse.
Based on this company's color expertise, Shepherd Technologies (ST) has created a four-color set of color preparations for digital printing inks. Ink Ready Dispersions (IRDs) are inorganic pigment preparations. Delivered as a dry color, these have more than 90% pigment content. They can be used to create a wide range of digital inks and thin films using minimal dispersion work. Normally difficult-to-disperse inorganic pigments are formatted to achieve digital size with the same grinding used for organic pigmented inks.
