Colombia. The Colombian Association of Corrosion and Protection (Ascor) confirmed the holding of the XIII National Congress of Corrosion and IV International Congress of Structural Integrity, Ascor 2016.
The event will be held from August 24 to 26, 2016 in Cartagena, and has the support of the Technological University of Bolivar, headquarters of the same. The congress is promoted every two years by Ascor in different universities as the most important event in the country on these issues.
This congress aims to be a scenario of academic and business exchange in which researchers, producers, entrepreneurs, and undergraduate and postgraduate students find a space where the new developments in the different fields of corrosion and structural integrity are taking place in the country in the global context are published.
During the congress, the I National Forum on Structural Integrity will be held with the aim of providing the space for the industrial and academic community to present the topics associated with work, developments and implementations of techniques, strategies and methodologies associated with the assurance of the structural integrity of assets and structures, from a practical perspective that in turn relates the theoretical concepts that govern their context of application.
The organization also confirmed that it will be receiving abstract submissions until January 17, 2016.
