China. From November 18 to 20, the 2015 edition of Chinacoat will be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in the Asian country.
Chinacoat is an event that has been taking place since 1996 and now alternates annually between Guangzhou and Shanghai, in the People's Republic of China. Highly supported by the industry, the 2014 show in Guangzhou managed to welcome 27,028 trade visitors from 84 countries/regions and 1,059 exhibitors from 29 countries/regions, which gathered in an exhibition area of 56,000 gross square meters. In 2015, Chinacoat will celebrate its 20th edition in Shanghai.
During January-November 2014, coatings out of China amounted to 14.87 million tons, an increase of 8.05% and has exceeded the annual production of 13.03 million tons in 2013, reflecting that the Chinese coatings market still has great potential for further growth.
Organizers say the Asia-Pacific region will remain the world's leading consumer of coatings until 2015. It is projected to account for nearly half of the industry's global demand in 2015, indicating why international players continue to increase their presence in the region.
