Colombia. Axalta Coating Systems launched its coating technology with Corshield alkyd systems in the coffee nation, which were designed for harsh corrosive environments, with better weather resistance and greater color retention.
Axalta's alkyd system, developed and manufactured in Colombia, is designed to contribute to the reduction of the impact of metal coating processes on the environment, for different industrial sectors such as chemical plants, refineries, pulp and paper plants, power plants and marine structures, opening the market also in commercial, institutional and architectural applications.
Ricardo Abisambra, General Manager Axalta Coating Systems Colombia, commented that "this launch reinforces our Corshield product line in the country, expanding its production to meet the needs of our customers in Latin America."
As part of the launch of the alkyd system, Corshield introduced a new image that facilitates the color identification of Corshield technologies for the end user. This line has anticorrosive paints and coatings capable of protecting a wide variety of substrates in various environmental conditions thus preserving the mechanical integrity and appearance of pipes and equipment.
