Colombia. After a meeting of the board of directors, the Association of Andean Coatings Technicians (STAR) decided to cancel the Third STAR Technical Conference scheduled for June 14 and 15 in Bogotá.
"Seeing the slowdown in the construction, housing and infrastructure sector at the national level has caused great prudence in the investment of the training of technical and commercial personnel for other priorities," said the Association through a statement, which concludes that it has not reached a break-even point.
"We thank all the companies, exhibitors and attendees who were going to accompany us to this event," adds the STAR statement about the seminar to be held at the Sheraton Hotel, based on the title "Color, a matter of chemical sensation", and whose main conference was in charge of the engineer Óscar Guarín Guingue.
The eventor of STAR, an association of paint and coatings technicians for the Andean region, has a tradition of more than 20 years with meetings in Colombia, Venezuela, Peru and Ecuador to train and strengthen links between industry professionals in the region.
