Brazil. The investment in site improvements will allow the company to continue expanding its position in the country.
Brenntag, a chemical and ingredients distribution provider, presents the renovation and expansion of its facilities in Nova Esperança, Paraná, Brazil. This site was absorbed in 2019 with the acquisition of Quimisa.
"With this investment, Brenntag will have greater geographic coverage in Brazil, mainly in the South, Midwest and part of the Southeast region that is currently under the new Brazilian agricultural frontier," said Brenntag Essentials Latin America Regional President German Torres.
The improvements of the facilities include the expansion of the storage area to 2000 m2 and the installation of 14 tanks reaching 675 m3.
Additionally, it has a new quality control laboratory for distribution and for customer applications and services in the agricultural market, as well as two new reactors for the production of liquid fertilizers with an initial production capacity of up to 2,000 tons per year.
"With the new installations made at this site, we will be able to provide our customers with bulk storage availability, increased capacity and more local delivery flexibility," said Brenntag Essentials Latin America South President Rodolfo Bayona.
"Similarly, we can provide them with liquid fertilizer capacity expansion and in a location closer to some key customers," Bayona added.
Key products handled at the facility include inorganic, caustic, liquid fertilizers, peroxides, salts, and will serve the metallurgical, agricultural, dairy, industrial cleaning, starch production and coatings industries.
