International. Industrial coatings company Beckers released its 2018 sustainability report, which provides a comprehensive overview of last year's activities, focusing especially on the company's partnerships and its commitment to the sustainable development of its activities.
The company highlights that it marked an important milestone in the year, becoming a signatory of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact, thus reinforcing its commitment to becoming a more sustainable and transparent company. Other highlights include contributions to sustainable innovation and research initiatives.
"We have invested a lot of time and effort to help our suppliers on their path to better sustainable performance, and have launched a successful new range of water-based base layers. In addition to this, we have continued to define our social sustainability roadmap and have engaged locally with the communities where Beckers is established," said Nicklas Augustsson, Beckers' director of global sustainability.
The 2018 Beckers Sustainability Report is available in digital format with built-in videos, including internal and external interviews with stakeholders on sustainability-related initiatives. Beckers began its report in 2012 and adheres to the globally recognized GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) standard.
