International. Orion Engineered Carbons announced that Gustavo Pinto has been promoted to Sales Director for Latin America in the Smoke Black Specialty line. The executive is now responsible for sales and management of agents and distributors in Latin America.
Pinto brings more than 20 years of experience in the chemical industry to his new position. He joined Evonik Degussa, before coming to Orion, in 2001 working in commercial sales with carbon black, silica and silane in Brazil.
Most recently, Pinto was director of marketing in the Americas, where he developed and achieved the goals and strategies to grow the rubber business. Pinto was also part of the Orion team that successfully implemented the company's SAP system.
