Mexico. Specialty chemicals company Clariant inaugurated a new production facility for its Industrial and Consumer Specialties Business Unit (ICS) located in Coatzacoalcos, Mexico.
With an investment of more than US$20 million, Clariant's new headquarters in Mexico will produce various chemical specialties and technological solutions for different markets, including coatings, personal care, crop protection, metallurgy and construction.
This headquarters allows the company to integrate the production of both finished and intermediate products in one place, creating a more efficient process for the supply of raw materials. Coatzacoalcos was chosen because of its location between two raw material production sites.
