Latin America. Wacker Chemical Corp announced the appointment of Axel Schmidt as its new vice president of the silicone division for North and Latin America.
Schmidt, who took full responsibility for this division effective January 1, 2013, will operate at Adrian and the Chino, California, as well as North Canton, Ohio, plants.
Axel Schmidt replaced Bernhard Hackl, who will be returning to Wacker's headquarters in Munich, Germany.
