Asia. Basf announced the opening of a new polyurethane systems headquarters in Tianjin, China, with which it will offer customized polyurethane solutions for its customers, supported by local production, in-house sales, technical service and development teams.
These new facilities are part of a system that includes 38 similar locations and is the company's eleventh specialized in polyurethane systems in Asia/Pacific.
"Tianjin is strategically located in the heart of northern China, where the market has experienced average growth. We see a strong increase in demand in emerging markets for sustainable solutions in the construction and automotive industries," said Ramkumar Dhruva, Vice President of Polyurethanes, Basf Asia Pacific.
