International. Bayer MaterialScience has been honored by AkzoNobel's line of automotive and aerospace coatings with The Alliance Award.
Bayer has supplied AkzoNobel with raw materials for the manufacture of coatings, mainly with aliphatic and aromatic isocyanates, as well as polyurethane dispersions. This award is given every year and recognizes the highest and most consistent product quality, reliability of supply, product availability, and good partnership.
AkzoNobel uses isocyanates in the formulation of coatings for automotive and industrial finishes. Other coatings formulated with Bayer raw materials are also used in other applications and on a wide range of substrates. The range ranges from anticorrosive and marine coatings to helical and specialty coatings.
