United States. PPG Industries' automotive refinish business has opened a new automated color adjustment lab that will be located in Cleveland and will begin operations over the next month.
As a main feature, this new laboratory will be controlled in a computerized way and will offer a new level of precision and efficiency in color adjustment, which the company qualifies as "a significant advance for science".
The new laboratory offers several challenges for a sector that has grown in the production of original equipment for its manufacture and application of color in exteriors, bumpers and hood. "The new lab is a reflection of our commitment to customers to provide the most effective and accurate color tools. As an industry leader, we are always looking for innovative ways to improve the color formulation process and ensure our customers have the support and benefit of the most advanced technology to date," said Mary Kimbro, Director of PPG Global Color.
