Colombia. According to the National Administrative Department of Statistics (Dane), the paint industry in that nation was one of the best figures reported in the month of June.
The latest study indicates that the line of paints registered a 13.4% growth in sales, contributing to the general statistics of industrial production, which increased in the month in question after the falls suffered between March and May.
The Dane also reported that the industrial sector in Colombia increased in June by 2.8% compared to the same month of 2011, in that increase contributed 24 of the 48 subsectors that registered growth in their production. Paints, in part, benefited from the growth of the vehicle industry that registered 43.1% during the month in question.
