Colombia. The Colombian company Pintuco closed the negotiation for the Kativo Group, belonging to the Central American market, which had a cost of US$120 million.
With this acquisition, the company that is part of the World Group integrates the most important companies in Latin America by marketing around US$560 million per year. To execute the purchase, the firm signed a loan with the Davivienda bank for US$25.3 million to cancel them for one year, and made another request for US$55.8 million for seven years.
Pintuco now has a 60% stake in two subsidiaries in Panama that are Pinturas Mundial and Kativo Holding, and acquired for a value of US$23.3 million the debts to HB Fuller Finance that were in charge of the Kativo Group companies.
With the negotiation, the Colombian company reaches a penetration in Latin America of eleven nations.
