International. The Supervisory Board of the company Evonik and the corresponding antitrust authorities, gave the go-ahead to the transaction that allows the acquisition, by the US firm Arsenal Capital Partners, of the company's dyes segment.
Although the amount paid by Arsenal Capital was not disclosed, it is important to note that Evonik's dyes division reported sales of $130 million euros last year and was responsible for producing and marketing dyes for Colortrend brand coatings used in the architectural paint market.
Arsenal Capital Partners plans to merge this business unit with Plasticolors, Inc., also recently acquired by them, on a single global pigment platform called Chromaflo Technologies.
