International. The multinational company Basf Coatings inaugurated on March 20 at its factory in Guadalajara (Spain) a new production plant. The objective of this facility is to promote the production of resins for construction coatings, a new industrial line that the company is promoting.
Basf allocated about US$3.1 billion for this project, an investment that in addition to providing six new bacantes and thus completing 629 employed people, rectifies its work in the economy of the region, evidenced by the 90% stability of employment that the company regulates.
Until now, the plant concentrated its activity on the manufacture of paints, lacquers and enamels for industrial sectors with greater technological requirements; business that is now complemented with this new resin plant for construction.
The opening ceremony was attended by important executives of the multinational, including Erwin Rauhe, president of Basf Coatings for southern Europe; On the other hand, Dolores Cospedal, president of the region, took advantage of the ceremony to thank the company for the 30 years it has been installed in this province.
