Dow Performance Materials has new chief marketing officer

International . Carlos Silva Lopes is the new strategic marketing director of Dow Performance Materials, for ANGUS Chemical Company and Acima Specialty Chemicals. In his new role, Silva will lead the companies' global markets activities in personal care products, paints and coatings, and metallurgical fluids.

Prior to his appointments, Silva Lopes, who joined Dow Chemical Company in 1990, served as global marketing director for Dow Fabric & Surface Care, a business unit of Dow Home & Personal Care. In this role, he was responsible for leading the development and implementation of marketing strategies in the company.

John Buckley, CEO of Dow Performance Materials and President of ANGUS Chemical Company, said: "Thanks to his experience, Carlos will bring great knowledge to the area.
