Priamine
NULL The polymer and coatings company Croda launched the product called Priamine, a new polyamide adhesive. This dimer diamine provides polyamide to hot melt adhesives, with a C36 biological base that offers greater freedom of formulation.
The introduction of the benefits of dimer fatty acids to the technology allows a wider range of di-acids to adjust the properties, which represents a higher melting point, which allows, therefore, a higher exposure temperature of the final product without compromising performance.
Priamine can also be used as a diamine in combination with dimer fatty acids to further increase the flexibility, moisture resistance and affinity of plastics, as well as improve the low polarity adhesion of other substrates such as polypropylene.
