Method of dispersion of organic pigments in water discovered
This synthetic fluorinated mica clay allows the homogenization of pigments thanks to its colloidal properties and its microscopic geometric shape, on which the pigments adhere without losing their size of 70 nm by 2 μm.
To test the effectiveness of the method in practical applications, the aqueous suspension was mixed with PVA and applied on polymer films, confirming the possibility of manufacturing color filters and avoiding the use of organic surfactants and conventional solvents.
