DeFelsko introduces the PosiTector SmartLink app, a free app that turns a phone or tablet into a virtual PosiTector meter.
With a wireless connection, the PosiTector probes the smart device to take full advantage of the simplicity and usefulness of the equipment, such as the touch screen, keyboard, microphone, camera, mail, WiFi, bluetooh or dictation.
If there is an internet connection, it can be shared, backed up, synchronized and reported measurement data via e-mail or through cloud storage. Readings can be automatically copied to Posisoft.net or synchronized manually. Professional PDF reports and CSV data are instantly shared via mail, AirPrint, Dropbox, Evernote and other smart device applications.
The app accepts all Positector 600, RTR-H, SPG and DPM easily probes converting to a coating thickness gauge, replica tape reader, gauge surface profile depth micrometer, or dew point meter.
It is available in the Apple iTunes store. The Android app will be available later in 2015.
