CAB-O-SIL® CT-9709 is a treated smoked metal oxide that confers better abrasion resistance to radiation-curable coatings without sacrificing clarity and color, with minimal impact on viscosity. This new grade is especially suited to coatings applied to pre-painted hardwood floors, abrasion-resistant coatings that require optical transparency, such as helmet visors, and transparent coatings for compact discs. The CAB-O-SIL TS-382 prolongs viscosity stability in adhesives and epoxy coatings with minimal impact on the color of the finished system; it also improves adhesion and soaking on metal surfaces without proper preparation, which helps formulators who must solve imperfect application conditions.
