Royal DSM's new Hybrane CY235 acrylic resin enables better coating performance, better applicability and lower energy consumption for metal applications.
Unlike other highly solid acrylic resins, which normally require forced drying conditions at 60°C for 30 minutes, Hybrane CY235 only requires a curing temperature of 40°C, allowing energy savings.
In addition, due to the faster drying possibilities, the resin shortens the cycle time of the spray booth by 20%. For example, in typical workshop conditions, car refiners can paint two additional jobs each day, which improves performance.
These operational benefits do not compromise the performance of the product, which offers high hardness, a high-quality appearance and high reactivity without compromising shelf life in storage.
