Ametek Brookfield
Ametek Brookfield's descending ball viscometer uses Höppler's principle to measure the viscosity of fluids by measuring the time required for a ball to fall by gravity through a tube filled with sample.
This equipment measures the average time of three tests and the result is converted into a viscosity value using a simple formula and offers an accuracy range of 0.5% to 2.0% depending on the ball used.
Two models of this product are available: the KF30 with a fixed angle of 80° and complies with DIN 53015; and the KF40 which can be tilted at 50°, 60°, 70° and 80°.
Among its features is a pivoting bearing that allows a quick and easy rotation of the tube, facilitating the repetition of tests, includes a set of six balls of different calibers to test a wide variety of samples and a temperature probe.
