United States. Hempel's product range, Hempadur AvantGuard, was named the 2014 Innovation of the Year in Performance Materials (MP) Corrosion during the NACE Corrosion 2015 Conference and Exhibition held on March 16 in Dallas, USA, the award recognizes the ability of products to significantly enhance corrosion protection in harsh environments.
Primary activated zinc epoxy uses unique technology to protect industrial structures and equipment in C4, C5 and corrosive conditions offshore. They can be used in a wide range of industries and applications, from offshore oil and gas platforms to power plants and wind turbines. The product range won the NACE award in the Coatings and Coatings category.
