International. The Orbis Group, owner of companies such as Pintuco and Andercol, among other chemical firms, recently confirmed the total purchase of two Brazilian chemical companies: Novaforma and Novapol Plásticos Ltda, which are located in the city of Serra, State of Espiritu Santo.
In 2008, Orbis, then Grupo Mundial, had revealed the purchase of 67% of the shares of both Brazilian companies, for which it had to pay a value of approximately US23 million. Now, Anderpol, Orbis' subsidiary in that country, closed the entire business for US$8 million.
In an official statement, Orbis assures that "in this way, Grupo Orbis continues to strengthen its multilatin presence, in this case in the chemical products market of Brazil, one of the most important in the continent."
The company had a growth of 22.5% compared to 2012 and currently has a presence in 15 countries in Latin America and exports to 25 other nations.
