Brazil. Allnex reported on the acquisition of Águia Química, one of the largest manufacturers of alkyd and acrylic resins in Brazil. The addition of Águia Química's employees along with more investments in Ponta Grossa will expand the products and technologies offered to both companies' customers in the region.
Commenting on this development, Frank Aranzana, CEO of Allnex said: "The acquisition of Águia Química, which is well established in the region, will allow us to complement our existing liquid and cross-linked resins and additives businesses, and produce our products closer to customers. We firmly believe that this acquisition will allow us to better serve, not only in Brazil, but throughout the region."
Águia Química's employees will continue to focus on delivering its wide range of products and technologies, which operates under the name "Allnex Brasil".
President of Águia Química (CEO) Mauricio Scheffer stated: "This is a positive step for Águia Química, with employees forming part of a global company, allowing us to expand our products and knowledge to even more customers, locally and throughout the region. Together, Allnex and Águia Química can become the leaders in the Latin American market."
Allnex is committed to promoting investment in Ponta Grossa to create a manufacturing platform that will meet changing market needs, while Águia Química will remain a priority for the future.
